MEETING MINUTES
February 9, 2010
Welcome – Jeff Gilbert opened meeting at 7:00pm
Band Director Reports
- Mr. Casey – Students accounts have been updates with correct balance in their accounts and 90% of Chili Supper tickets they sold will go into your students account. February 16, 2009 Jazz Band will have their Pancake Supper and tickets are $5 each. Percussion concert will be on March 4, 2010. Empire Brass Quartet at Clarion on March 5, 2010.

Secretary Minutes – Carolyn Alvarado
- A motion was made by Jeff Gilbert to approve the January 2010 Booster Meeting minutes. The motion was seconded by Gemi Powell and the minutes were unanimously approved by meeting attendees.
Treasurer Report – Daryl Dauer
- Daryl reported $77, 4419.76 in the account. A motion was made by Shane Pirtle to approve the treasurer report. The motion was seconded by Rita Depalatis and the treasurer report was unanimously approved by meeting attendees.
Board Committee Report
- First Vice President – David McKelroy – no report
- Second Vice President – Gemi Powell – Chili Supper Silent Auction made $4,000 and $500 has not been collected. Joe’s BB-Que fundraiser will be in April 2010. For graduation in June the Booster Club will have the concession stand. We will be doing Toyota Center this month (February) and will pick up again in June 2010.
- Food/Beverage Committee – Rita Depalatis – no report
- Capital Improvement/Props (Set Designs) – Shane Pirtle – Thanks to parents Jeff Bone, Steve Miller, Phil Athey, Ron Welk and student Cody Pirtle for assistance in repairing the band hall lockers.
- Public Relations/Merchandise – Bob Bowden – not present
Non-Standing Committee Report
- Color Guard – Leah Hardesty – no report – Jeff introduced Allen Troung (Color Guard Instructor) and this years Winter Guard show is called “Black Dove”
- Uniform – Trixie Bone – no report
- Chili Supper – Kelly Rathburn – Chili Supper profit $8,248.15
- Hospitality – Beth Dauer – Spring Banquet will be May 14, 2010 at the Civic Center. Jim Koch reception will be Sunday, June 6, 2010 3p-6p. For information or you would like to help with Jim Koch “Celebrating the Legacy: The Brazoswood Band” please contact:

- Officer Elections – anyone interested in running for office the list of all duties of each office can be found on the website. Nominations at this time are as follow:

Nominations will be accepted from the floor; you may self nominate, provide a written letter of qualifications/self nomination from each candidate.
The voting will be done during April’s Booster Meeting.

Next Booster Club Meeting will be: March 9, 2010 @ 7pm
Next Board Meeting will be: April 5, 2010 @ 5:30pm
