Buc Band Parents,
Okay, well maybe you aren't afraid to ask!
Instead of sending out four separate email messages regarding the state UIL marching contest in San Antonio I am building the "mother of all emails" so that you will only have one email message that includes trip itinerary and action items to complete prior to leaving for the contest in San Antonio. (Bob SPAM Minimization Act)

1. Mr. Casey has published the trip itinerary (attachment: State Marching itinerary 2010.pdf). Itinerary has important information like departure time, return time and motel where band is staying in San Antonio. Note the dress code for boarding the bus on Tuesday.
2. Important uniform cleaning information from Ms. Cermack: We sent the uniforms that were left in the Band Hall on Saturday night (well, Sunday morning) to the cleaners today.  If your child did not get their uniform turned in at that time, we ask that you please take the uniform to the cleaners this week before the Alvin game on Friday.  We would like the uniforms to look their best for State Marching Contest next Tuesday.
3. Important breakfast items request from Ms. Depalatis: She has published a breakfast item request (attachment: Request for breakfast items for State UIL trip.PDF) for the morning of Tuesday, November 2nd. She needs the the items by Monday, November 1st in order to have them organized and ready to go for Tuesday morning.
4. Important civic duty action item prior to Tuesday, November 2nd.: Since you (both voting age student and parent) may be in San Antonio on Election Day Mr. Caserta has updated the UIL State Marching Contest Event (http://www.bucband.org/contests/UIL-State-Index.htm) to include a link (Early Voting Information) to the county's early voting locations, times and dates.  Last day to early vote is Friday, October 29.

CAUTION  -- DO NOT DRIVE ONTO THE PARKING LOT/MARCHING LOT AFTER PRACTICE

FOR THE LAST THREE YEARS WE HAVE PROVIDED FRIENDLY REMINDERS TO PARENTS, SIBLINGS AND STUDENTS IN AN EFFORT TO REMIND YOU TO NOT USE THE PRACTICE FIELD FOR PICK UP OF YOUR STUDENTS AT THE END OF PRACTICE?  WHY?

ITS DANGEROUS TO PROPERTY, TO STUDENTS AND TO THE MANY YOUNG CHILDREN WHO COME TO SUPPORT THEIR SIBLINGS AND FRIENDS.

SO, AFTER MENTIONING IT AT THE FIRST TWO BAND BOOSTER MEETINGS, I ONCE AGAIN AM ASKING YOU TO NOT DRIVE ONTO THE PARKING LOT/MARCHING LOT AFTER PRACTICE.
